16th ICRS Congress

For the 16th time this year, the English-language congress of the “ICRS - International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society” took place at Intercontinental Berlin from April 12 to 15, 2022. This year, trade visitors could expect a very comprehensive program on the latest developments and results in the areas of cartilage regeneration and joint maintenance.

As an inspiration for the various topics, the letter “R” was taken from the name “ICRS”. Because it was all about the keywords “Repair, Regenerate, Restore, Replace, Rehabilitate, Research, Redefine and Rethink.”

In addition to globalization on the healthcare system, critical analysis and learning in recent years and the influence of digitalization, the goal is to redefine processes and technologies within the framework of transdisciplinary approaches and to combine efforts in research and clinics in order to be able to make effective progress.

The exact role of big data and AI, fake news and social media as well as the new regulations such as the Medical Device Regulation (EU Medical Device Regulation 2021) on work in the field of medicine was also closely examined.
